How to increase longevity

A 2025 paper funded by the National Institutes of Health entitled Aging Cell reported: Immune resilience (IR) is the capacity to sustain immunocompetence, (healthy immune system) while minimizing chronic inflammation. The study predicts as much as a 15.5-year difference in lifespan between poor IR and maximized IR.

Maximized IR is a robust immune system which delays inflammaging (inflammation increasing with age), immune senescence (weakening of the immune system with age), and cellular senescence, (aging cells). These are the hallmarks of aging and health.

Immune resilience and longevity isn’t about quick fixes. It is about sustained daily habits. There are many supplements to maximize your immune system but don’t forget gentle exercise, stress-reducing techniques and approximately 7 hours of sleep for adults.

I often recommend PhytoMulti, a multiple vitamin with phytonutrients to decrease inflammation. Also, OmegaGenics fish oil EPA-DHA 1000.
